Reporting And Reflecting On My Google Pagerank Update

Google pagerank updateGoogle’s pagerank update has finally come. You and I have been waiting for months to see what PR update we would get. This was especially exciting for me because my google PR has been “0” for the last 3 and a half months since I started Blaineblogger which was after the last pagerank update.

So What Am I Reporting ?

Im reporting on the PR some of my pages received of course. I wanted to report on the PR updates on my blog and some of my social profiles so that you can see the progress of this blog. Then that would then lead me on to talk about improving and how to get a better pagerank than ZERO, more then 1 or whatever PR you’re at.  Many of you bloggers have a pagerank of 1-4 but for bloggers at 0, you just want anything except 0. So what I’ll talk about is not advanced and is directed at beginners but more experienced bloggers will benefit too….

… and if you haven’t joined me on my social profiles go ahead and connect with me there, I’ll be waiting.

Lets get done to the pages:

Now I was surprised that my social profiles got a pagerank at all. I was only expecting my blog to receive a PR of 2 or 3 but definitely not for any of my social profiles. That’s why I want to reflect on exactly how and why these profiles got good PR so I can refine the process and share it.

And What Am I Reflecting On ?

Reporting on the pagerank for the above pages gives me the chance to reflect on what exactly and how those pages got PR. The big question is how did these pages get pagerank. Here’s what im thinking….

  1. All my social profiles and my blog are updated with fresh and unique content regularly. My twitter profile is updated very regularly which im sure adds a great amount to the PR5. So the more unique content you have, the higher your pagerank will be. Except Blaineblogger.com/tag/unique-blog-designs/ which is just weird to have any pagerank, I can’t explain it. Can you?
  2. The pages all have authoritative and well established root domains.
  3. The content, links and updates on all of these pages are all highly related and relevant to each other.
  4. PR coming through nofollow links to these pages.

What Do You Think ?

  • Do you know how and where you’re getting PR from ?
  • What do you think effects PR ?
  • Do you think PR is important, why or why not?
  • Are you happy with the PR update you got?
