This video was sent to me today and I had to watch it because Will Smith was in it. Will does actually have a lot of wisdom to share with us all. He tells it like it is and he’s a great person to listen to and the conviction he has. It’s an awesome video and well worth watching for 10 minutes……it may change your life……inspiring words. A lot of the stuff he talks about may sound hairy fairy but still….it’s the truth.

What Can We Learn From Will?

Enjoy living – Enjoy everyday and share that joy you have with everyone. People will change positively, they will reciprocate and your life will be a lot more fulfilling.

Greatness Lives In All Of Us – We as humans really are capable of such amazing things. We are pushed down by people saying we can’t, that you’re not able and if it was possible someone else would have done it by now. The only person you need to convince is yourself that you can do something even if the rest of the world says you can’t. Believe in yourself and you will do great things.

Work Hard For Your Dreams – as will said “When the other guy’s sleepin, im workin. When the other guy’s eatin, im workin.”

Talent Is Not Enough – we see this all the time with really amazing people and creative people. They have so much talent but how much skill? Communication skills, business skills, marketing skills. I believe we need to talent and skill to really excel and to achieve massive amounts. Talent and skill both go together and if you have them both and the drive…..you will go far.

Stay In For The Long Run – if something doesn’t work for you straight away or you don’t get the results you expected. Stick at it and you’ll come out on top with the results you want.

Take Things Step By Step – don’t over complicate things. Take it one step at a time. If there’s a large goal you want to achieve, break it down into smaller steps. Small daily and consistent actions will get you to the end result.

Make A Difference In Other People’s Lives – whoever you connect with. Make a difference in their lives. A simple thank you or hello can make such a difference. A hand shake or a hug. It doesn’t have to be huge but as long as you are genuinely helping someone to benefit them. You’ll make a difference in their lives and you’ll feel it too. If you’ve heard of the 6 human needs by Tony Robbins. This would be our human need for contribution.

Don’t Be Realistc – imagine and create beyond what is created already. We as humans have such a wonderful gift to be able to imagine and create something out of nothing. Push the boundaries of what’s possible and of what’s already available. Don’t accept people telling you “it’s unrealistic”. Believe in yourself.

Attack Your Fears – don’t let fears rule your life. I personally have started to attack my fears in the last few months. To really get rid of anything that is stopping me. We create our own fears so we can just as easily be the one’s to conquer them if we choose to. We need to just say “that’s enough” and just do it.

I do love what Will says at the end:

“don’t ever let somebody tell you that you can’t do something. You got a dream, you got to protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you that you can’t do it. If you want something… GO GET IT…. PERIOD”

How did you like the video?

I really do believe if you want something, GO GET IT…..PERIOD. Don’t let anybody stop you or convince you that you can’t do it or that it’s unrealistic. Be all you can be.

How To Preview Your Google Search Engine Listing Before It’s Listed

Wouldn’t you like to see what your google search engine listing might look like before it’s actually listed?

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Mostly because I wanted to change my blog meta description and actually doing it and waiting for google to index my new meta desciption could to take days. So I went on a search to find a SERPS (search engine results pages) preview tool and quickly came across bjornenki.com’s preview tool.

There are a few options to tweak how your listing might look like as well.

How To Achieve Goals In 9 Steps

Hey guys and girls Today let’s talk about how to achieve goals as the new year begins because as we all know, people start setting goals and resolutions. It’s a great time to sit down and think of what you want to do and achieve for the year but often do we set new goals but never reach them? This happens to us all because after the first few weeks and months we lose the motivation and drive to stay committed. So we need to find ways that we can keep you motivated and focused on reaching your goals. There are a number of steps I’ll be using to reach my goals over the coming year so lets get down to the steps we can use to achieve what we want this year.

1.Write Down Your Goals

The simple action of actually writing down your goals is a small way to boost our chances of reaching our goals. The process of writing our goals down makes them more real, more tangible. So when you read and see your goals on actual paper. They’ll be real as opposed to just being forgotten in your head. Even your brain will focus more and remember more when you write things down so it’s a good idea if you really want to get started.

When you’ve written down your goals. Stick the piece of paper somewhere where you’ll see your goals every day. Maybe on your door, on your mirror in the bathroom. Wherever you decide to put it. Make sure it stands out and catches your eye so that you don’t get use to it and stop paying attention to it.

How many goals should you write down? That’s up to you but don’t write down too many or it’ll just turn into another list. Write down 3-5 and when you go through the year and you think you can do more then write down a few extra ones. Make it manageable so that you can focus on a few goals and not overwhelmed with many goals that you won’t finish.

If your having problems finding some goals to write down. Here are the 5 key areas of life for you to find goals for.

2.Specify And Explain

Why do you want to achieve your goals? Be specific about your goals and why you want to reach them. Explain why you want to reach your goals in as much detail as possible. For example, compare

“I want a new job”

“This year im going to get my dream job as a enter job title here. It will be 5 minutes away from my house so I won’t have to drive to and from work hours every day and so that I won’t get stuck in traffic. I’ll enjoy my work so much and give enormous value to my company and our customers. I’ll feel so fulfilled giving my best every day and I’ll be appreciated for the value I create. I’ll get paid $xxx,xxx for the work I love doing and I’ll also have the option to work from home whenever I wish…….”

Can you see how being more specific and explaining is just so much better. It’s more attainable. It’s clearer to see what you want and then you know what to look for. Your mind will focus and it will find ways to achieve that goal.

3.Actionable steps

Break your goals down into easy action steps. Don’t break them down too much or you’ll be overloaded so somewhere in the middle best. Make your action steps fun. Say to yourself “How can I achieve this goal and have fun at the same time?” Maybe get your friends to join you.

4.Time Targets

This is a a very simple step but it’s very important for you and your mind. Set a time target on each of your goals and make sure you achieve them in that period of time. This will help your mind focus and also to make to procrastinate just a little bit less .

5.Involve Your Family and Friends

Get you friends and family involved. This way they’ll help you, they’ll be watching you, giving you feedback and advice. They are there to give you encouragement and be there to push you when you won’t push yourself. Find a friend that has the same goal as you and help each other achieve the goal. It will make it a lot easier to reach your goal then. Another reason to tell your family and friends is that if we tell them, we’re less likely to just give up because our family and friends are expecting us to achieve our goals. They’ll hold us accountable and it’s a positive push to keep going and get to the end.

Maybe even involving your family and friends will help them to set and accomplish their goals.

6.Make A Mind Movie

Creating a mind movie is a cool way to remind yourself about the goals and life you want. It has to do with the law of attraction. Anyway the guy who created Mind Movies will talk about them better than I will. If you want to create a mind movie you can make a free video at Animoto.com.

7.Incantations

Tony Robbins talks about incantations which are putting affirmations and physiology together. Use positive affirmations but express those affirmations with your body. Use all your energy and body when doing this. This will condition your mind to believe and go after whatever you want.

Doing incantations are really powerful and it’s a lot better than using affirmations on their own.

8.Technology

Technology is an amazing asset we all have the ability to use. So why not use it to help us achieve goals. Here are a few technologies I use:

ReminderFox Firefox Plugin – This is a cool firefox add on that reminds me of events or tasks every time I open up my firefox.
Mobile Phone – we carry our mobile phones around everywhere with us so why not use it to help us. Every phone will have a calendar, note pad, timer, count down, reminder feature and other tools we can use to remind us and keep us on track day to day.
Google Calendar – if you have your action steps written out. You can enter them into your google calendar to remind you of your action steps and you can also choose to get emails and SMS messages send to you about your events and tasks.

There are so many technologies that can help us, remind us and keep us on track to get to the end of our goals. So use whatever you have available to you.

9.Set Targets And Rewards

Setting targets or milestones is important. You need to see progress being made or else you’ll think you are getting nowhere. Set reachable targets for maybe every month. Then when you reach your targets get a friend or family member to reward you when you hit a target. I’d prefer to get someone else to reward me with the reward I want instead of giving the reward to myself because I wouldn’t be able to wait and id give myself the reward too soon.

Just set targets and remember to reward yourself so you feel good about going after your goals and getting rewarded makes you commit just that little bit more and like the process at the same time.

When you’re writing down your goals. Write down big and exciting goals that will motivate you and get you up in the morning and remember to write down why you want to achieve them.

Oh, and don’t worry if don’t want to use all of the steps on the list. Use as many or as a few of these that will fit your lifestyle to help you in 2010 but using them all will compound on each other and you’ll boost your ability to achieve your goals a lot more and a heck of a lot faster.

My Top 4 Goals For 2010

Another year has passed and for most people this marks another chance for them to think of the resolutions and goals they will make for the coming year. Having this blog allows me to share my bigger goals for 2010 and im also sharing it so that I will be held accountable at the end of the year to what I said I would achieve. A new year marks a fresh start for all of us so we need to take full advantage of this time. Here is how im going to take advantage of my time.

1.Make $100,000 In Online Income This Year

Develop An Iphone App – This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. With the increasing growth and popularity of the Iphone and what seemed like endless TV ads at christmas. It’s a good idea to cash in on the growth with Iphone applications. I doubt I’ll be developing the Iphone app myself although Id love to learn how to do it. A huge positive to this is that once you’ve developed your app the profits will be passive. Im also thinking of developing an Iphone app for this blog so it will be excited to develop some apps and see the results.

Niche Websites and Products – For the first few months of the year I’ll be making one to three a niche sites and products. Then building them up to the top of the SERPS, converting well and making sure the sites continue to bring in money each month. PPC will also be taking a strong hold in marketing and I’ll be focusing a lot of attention on this too.

Domain Development – I have 4 domains that I will be developing in 2010. I’ll be updating ye on the progress I have with these sites.

Currency and Futures Trading – Financial trading will play a big part in reaching my money target. This will be taking up all my mornings but it’s very important and profitable to trade so I’ll have to include it here and focus heavily on it. I’ll be trading currencies, specifically the GPY/JPY and over the next few months trading futures. This is also a kind of secret surprise I’ll be sharing with everyone so stay tuned over the coming months.

Blogging – I’ll be focusing a lot of attention on BlaineBlogger this year. I’ll be setting a lot of targets to aim for so some of the targets will be to build up my RSS and email subscribers to a thousand each, to write and publish 250 blog posts and increase my SEO rankings to reach 300 visitors a day. A custom redesign will be in the cards too and It’ll be one of my favourite goals to complete.

2.Gain 30 Pounds

Gaining weight has always been a failure for me. No matter what I eat I don’t put on weight but this year I won’t try to eat my way to gaining weight, I’ll build my way to gaining weight. It will take the full year to gain 30 pounds, a lot of sweat and a lot of working out and commitment. This goal might be the most challenging for me in terms of endurance, commitment and sticking to a plan but as the saying goes “No pain, no gain”.

3.Learn French

“Je ne parle pas francais bien” which I think means “I don’t speak french well” and is exactly why I need to learn it. There a number of ways to learn french but I’ll be focusing on using livemocha.com, rosetta stone software and my friends who speak french. If you know any good websites or services where I can improve my very limited french give me a buzz by emailing me or tweeting me.

4.Learn How To Play The Guitar

Being a person who can’t play a single instrument except maybe the recorder. It would be nice to be able to play guiter and that’s what im going to do. It will take patience to learn but I’ve got time to burn.

It’s 4 o’clock in the morning so I’ve been up for a long time thinking of my 2010 goals so now there’s only one final question. What are your goals and resolutions for 2010?

BlaineBlogger Month 4 Update Report

As Blaineblogger passes it’s 4th month online, It’s time for another stats report. Again twitter has been performing awesomely and spam comments have been increasing to an insane amount. On my week away to Ireland I had around 5000 spam comments waiting for me when I came back.

I’ve been focusing on search engine traffic also this month and therefore a little less blog commenting, twitter and other ways to get traffic. Even though those areas didn’t bring in s much traffic this much search engine traffic jumped to 50.28% of all traffic.

Also StumbleUpon came out of nowhere and found it’s way into the top traffic referrer position this month.

Im Off To Ireland

Well guys, im off to Ireland next week for a little break. I’ll be gone from the 9th to the 16th which will get me back in time for the Content King contest.
