Blogging is Just A Conversation

As I came across this video, which is actually about selling and not blogging but I still thought it was highly relevant and a lot of really good points to observe here. Of course conversing with others is not all blogging is about and not all you will have to do as a blogger but if you can understand and act on the real meaning and importance of conversation with your audience and other bloggers, you will have found one of the most important key elements in successful blogging. After watching that, lets talk about some of those points.

1. Blogging is for everyone, you don’t need any special requirements or skills although some skills are very beneficial like writing skills, communication skills and design skills but no matter what skills you have, they can always be learned or outsourced to someone else.
2. Blogging in its basic form is just communication and expressing your thoughts to other people like you who care about the topic your talking about. That isn’t new to you is it? We all talk to others about similar interests and blogging is no different.
3. There’s no specific way that you have to act and there’s no correct way you have to speak. You don’t need to pretend to be something you’re not or write in a way that is not you. Blogging is supposed to be personal so just act normal and be who you are.
4. There is no secret formula to successful blogging, there are no hidden secrets that successful bloggers keep from you. What every successful blogger has done is create valuable content that people want to read, work very very hard, communicates and converses with others, creates more great content and stayed patient. The most important attributes of successful bloggers are attributes we all have but you need to act now, you need to learn and expand your knowledge and skills. You need to do more not because you have to but because you want to.
5. Don’t worry too much about what people will think of you, you just need to get content out there. You’ll never be able to keep everybody happy and you will get negative comments but this is just part of being a blogger.
6. Just be yourself.
