Blaineblogger 2nd Month Anniversary
Seeing as this is my 2nd month anniversary of blaineblogger.com, I wanted to stack up and report some stats that I’ve got to at this point in time. Of course most growth has happened over the last 2 weeks, I hope things continue to increase steadily. So lets get down to some things I’ve done in the last 2 months.
- I did an interview at blogengage and I should have another interview coming up soon at another blog.
- I joined several communities, sites and services like twitter, su.pr, hootsuite, google website optimizer, sitepoint forums, blogengage, digg, stumble upon, blogcatalog, mybloglog, frienfeed just to name a few.
- As for my twitter profile. I know have 175 followers, im following 172, 72 direct messages and I have 274 updates.
- A total of 260 comments of which 125 were spam. About 110 of those spam comments are just for one blog post “20 Twitter Directories To Get New Followers And Find New Friends” and thanks to everyone who commented over the past 8 weeks and also to my top commenters.
- My most popular post was also the most spammed, it was “20 Twitter Directories To Get New Followers And Find New Friends“
- I Started this blog at an alexa rank of around 15 million, now it’s moved down to 1,277,902. That’s still pretty high but it will take time to get to my target of below 100,000.
- My PR is still 0 but im sure that will change within the next few weeks to PR 1/2
- I have 9 RSS subscribers. Not many but it’s a start.
- I’ve had 540 visits, most of them have come in the last 2 weeks.
- 1,464 pageviews with an average of 2.71 pageviews per visit.
- My bounce rate is 49.63% which I feel is good.
- Average time on the blog for a visitor is 5:48 minutes.
- New visits count for 65.93% of my traffic.
- A breakdown of my traffic sources reveal that 49.44% of traffic comes from referring sites, 45.93% comes from direct traffic and 4.63% comes from search engines. My search engine traffic should increase this month as my blog posts are actually getting ranked well now.
What Are My Main Goals For The Future?
Quite simply, im going to blog more often, tweet more often, comment more on other blogs and engage more with the blog communities.
Hopefully over time the blog as a whole will grow larger and hopefully each of these stats will increase. If any of you would like to share some of your stats or memories from when you stared your blog, id love to see a comment from you below.
